Hi, I’m Ty
I absolutely love education and have sincere passion for it. I found that this passion is shared by many others and I would love to foster a community of critique and insight. I am currently in the classroom as a high school science teacher on my ninth year of teaching. I mostly taught in the urban setting here in Augusta, Georgia. I graduated from Augusta University in 2015 with a Bachelors in Biology and MAT in Secondary Education. I later earned my specialist from Georgia Southern University. I’ve received a little recognition, but that’s not important at all. What’s important is that I’m a “regular” teacher with “regular” teacher problems like everyone else. I have a wonderful family I go back to every day, but it’s that 7:00-5:00 work life that can get in the way. It’s the weekends and planning and meetings and….well you know.
